Jean-Denis Sauzade
Jean-Denis Sauzade, founder and CEO of TELEMAQ qualified as a mechanical engineer at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers (ENSAM). He received his Doctorate (PhD) in Thermodynamics from the Ecole Centrale Paris and completed an executive MBA at HEC, one of the leading French business schools. He was Head of Department and later Programme Director at Thales Underwater System (Sonars). In 1992 he won first prize in an entrepreneurship competition organised by the Thomson Group and created TechSonic (a company specialising in ultrasound). He later acted as a Technical Expert for the European Commission for the “BRITE” programme, was Director of Development at ECA (an underwater acoustics company) and subsequently CEO of Comat (specialising in instrumentation for the space industry). Jean-Denis has a passion for innovation and in particular development of technically complex products. He created Telemaq because of his unshakable conviction that innovation is the greatest asset of a company (and often the least costly) in maintaining its competitive advantage. In an environment where more and more complicated technologies are available, but less accessible, his expertise lies in identifying and assessing technologies on behalf of companies and individuals.
